Giprotsvetmet is one of the leading institutes in the Russian Federation on design of the enterprises of non-ferrous metallurgy and the general designer in area of copper and leaden-zinc subsectors of industry in our country and abroad. The institute made the significant contribution to formation and development of domestic non-ferrous metallurgy as in Russia, and the CIS countries: it developed the most important problems of complex development of copper and polymetallic ores of the Central, East and Southern Kazakhstan, South Ural, Central Asia, Transcaucasia, Eastern Siberia.
