May 14, 2020 - The federal service of natural recourses supervision announced the completion of the state environmental review about the project documentation «Construction of a mining and processing plant based on the Ak-Sug porphyry-copper deposit» made by Giprotsvetmet, and issued a positive conclusion. During the review of materials it was established that the documentation developed by specialists of the Institute fits all requirements of environmental legislation.

Ak-Sug porphyry-copper deposit is one of the five largest deposits in Russia in terms of copper reserves. This unique deposit is located on the territory of Togikinsk municipal region in Tyva republic. The Ak-Sug mining processing plant will be a backbone enterprise in Tyva Republic and one of the largest enterprises of the "Yenisei Siberia" project.
